Northern Uganda – A Perspective from the Inside
To often it is easy to focus only on the negative (I admit that I have done that myself) but as someone who has gone through more in 33 years than most, I also understand that the bad cannot exist without the good to balance it out. Education should not be a “one sided” thought process where we focus only on the situations that shock or grab our attention. There is much to be learned from other cultures and if I am to be a responsible blogger I need to ensure that my own outrage of what children in these areas have suffered does not cloud my pride for the success and spirit of the survivors who are moving on and looking forward.
